The Carrie Diaries premiered last night to a relatively low number of viewers, but what did you think of the pilot? As a much talked about prequel to the iconic Sex and the City, The Carrie Diaries had a lot to live up to, but we have to say that the premiere was actually not that bad!
AnnaSophia Robb makes a pretty good young Carrie Bradshaw, and her relationships with her family, friends, and her crush Sebastian Kydd actually had us interested! Sebastian might have also made us swoon just a bit...but only a little. For those of you that might have missed the premiere, here is a small recap:

The Carrie Diaries and Our Predictions
Less than a week until The Carrie Diaries premieres! The prequel to Sex and the City, this new series will show Carrie Bradshaw in the 1980s, at the age of sixteen. Sex and the City and The Carrie Diaries are completely different stories, but how do you think the latter will do?
We, for one, are excited to see a young Carrie trying to figure out her life before becoming the fabulous woman we all know and love in SATC, and we think that AnnaSophia Robb is an interesting choice for young Carrie! Another thing to look forward to is the fashion they are going to have on the show. We're going to be in the 80s, but we hope they avoid too much of the big hair and leg warmers!

Pretty soon The Carrie Diaries is going to premiere, but, to whet your appetite for now, here are the recently released cast photos!
Cute, right? It seems like the show is going for a fun and funky vibe with the paint splatter background and the colorful makeup and clothes!
In case you forgot, The Carrie Diaries is the prequel to Sex and the City, starring AnnaSophia Robb in the role Sarah Jessica Parker made famous. It is going to debut in January and it takes viewers back to 1984! It features a teenage Carrie Bradshaw juggling life in a high school suburb with work at a New York City magazine.

Is Sex and the City coming to CW? The iconic HBO show might be getting a prequel called The Carrie Diaries, which takes place during Carrie's high school years. So far, Josh Schwartz of Gossip Girl has been tapped to produce The Carrie Diaries for CW! Can you imagine any of the ladies in their teenage years? What would they look like? For one, there are rumors that a young sexy Samantha might be played by none other than Blake Lively of Gossip Girl fame!
Other casting rumors include Selena Gomez as a young Charlotte, Emma Roberts as Miranda and Elizabeth Olsen as Carrie! What do you think? Would you watch a revamped Sex and the City with a younger cast?

Talk about Owning It!
I saw the movie yesterday the first day it was out and I loved it. Yes, it was predictable and Yes, there is some SERIOUS botox going on with Samatha, and yes the plot was super contrived, but it was worth it to spend a little more time some of my favorite NY women. The fashion was impressive and contraversial as always and Its was really fun seeing some of the characters from the past re-emerge (esp Aiden and Smith Jarrod)
The scene with them on the camels and lunching out in the dessert was probably my favorite visually, and I Kristin and Miranda's mother bonding drinking game being my favorite dialog.
Oh, and god do I love that blue couch. I would stay home everynight too if i lived in that apartment :)
