Sex and the City Wiki

Smoke is a recurring supporting character in And Just Like That..., the sequel series to Sex and the City. She is married to radio‑host‑turned‑podcaster Jackie Nee. Smoke is portrayed by actress Bethlehem Million.

Background[]

Smoke is first seen at a loft party Jackie describes as a casual get‑together; midway through the evening he announces it is, in fact, their wedding. It is during this party that Smoke and Carrie meet each other.

Carrie is impressed by Smoke's talents and selects Smoke to design her a striped gown for the Met Gala, whose theme is “Veiled Beauty”. On the eve of the event Smoke and Jackie convert Carrie’s apartment into a makeshift atelier. A stomach‑flu outbreak sidelines most of Smoke’s seamstresses and the bodice fits too tightly, delaying final adjustments. As Smoke is ultimately unable to complete the dress before the Gala, Carrie attends the event in her Vivienne Westwood wedding dress paired with a floor‑length duchess‑satin cape that Smoke designed.

During Carrie’s farewell dinner at her apartment, Smoke is one of the people to attend the party alongside Jackie.
