Over two decades later, Susan Sharon attended the funeral of Carrie's late husband, Mr. Big, who passed away from a heart attack. During the service, Susan Sharon is overheard by a friend remarking on how much of a "prick" Big was during his life.
Afterwards, Susan engages Carrie and Miranda, expressing her forgiveness toward Carrie for a past misunderstanding that Carrie isn't even aware of. Susan mentions that after reading the obituary in the newspaper, she reminded herself that life is too short to hold onto grudges. She decided to put everything behind them, telling herself to move on and make amends with Carrie, regardless of whether Carrie feels it's necessary. Susan acknowledges that Carrie is dealing with a lot at the moment and doesn't expect an apology or explanation. She assures Carrie that she holds no hard feelings, expressing her love and confirming her support, suggesting they can resolve any issues when Carrie is ready.
After Susan Sharon departs, a puzzled Miranda inquires what the issue was between her and Susan Sharon. Carrie responds that she truly has "no idea."
